Sports

Sports

Our teams and individuals excel in a wide variety of sporting codes. We offer a number of sports spread across both summer and winter seasons and cater for students of all abilities, endeavouring to place any student who wants to play a sport into a team.

The traditional sports of Rugby, Rugby League, Netball, Football, Athletics, Cricket, Basketball, and Volleyball are all offered, providing teams for both boys and girls to join.  These teams have developed a strong following. We also offer many non-traditional sports such as, Kilikiti, Weight lifting, Rugby 7’s, Ki o rahi and Tag.

Student achievement in sport is recognised through our popular Sports Prizegiving evening in November and also at College assemblies, House assemblies and the Senior School Prizegiving.  Students have the opportunity to represent the school in zone and regional competitions as well as winter tournament week.

We have a number of students who represent and regional and national level as well as staff who coach at a national level.
